Privacy Policy

Last updated: 24 October 2026

1. Who is responsible for this site

The website tonyskill.com ("TonySkill", "we", "us") offers free online tools to process files (images, PDFs, documents, audio, video and more).

  • Publisher and data controller: Born To Be R
  • Address: United Arab Emirates
  • Country: United Arab Emirates
  • Contact for any question or request about your data: contact@tonyskill.com

2. In short

  • Most tools work entirely in your browser: your file never leaves your device.
  • A few tools send data to our server, because they cannot run in a browser (Word/Excel/PowerPoint conversion, audio and video conversion for files up to 95 MB, text-to-speech, video downloader, heavy AI). They are listed in section 4. Files are processed and then deleted; we do not keep them and we do not look at them.
  • No account, no advertising or tracking cookies, no selling of data.
  • We measure traffic in an anonymous, aggregated way (section 5): no IP address, no identifier, no file name.

3. Tools that work in your browser

For these tools your files and text are read and transformed by your own device. They are not sent to TonySkill. This covers the vast majority of tools: image converters, PDF tools, metadata removal, image/video/audio compression, archives, data converters, QR codes, photo and video editors, background removal, automatic subtitles, subtitle translation, face blurring, OCR, and so on. Audio and video converters are the exception for files up to 95 MB (see section 4); larger files are converted in your browser.

Some of these tools first download an engine or AI model (sometimes tens of MB). These files are served by tonyskill.com itself and kept in your browser's storage so they are not downloaded again. This download contains no data about you beyond the ordinary HTTP request.

4. Tools that send data to our server

These tools send part of your data, through Cloudflare, to a server that we operate ourselves: a Hetzner server in Helsinki (Finland, EU) for most of them, or our own machine in France for a few; the heaviest AI tasks (video object eraser) run on GPUs rented from Modal (United States), behind our own server. It is not a third-party service for your files: nothing is kept. The file lives in a temporary folder in memory (RAM), erased as soon as the calculation ends, and the result is erased once you download it or after 15 minutes (1 hour at most for the downloaders).

Tool What is sent Retention
Document converters (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, PDF to Word, ODT, CSV, etc.), and import/export in the text editor and spreadsheet (ODT, RTF, DOC, XLS, ODS, PDF) the file Deleted as soon as the conversion ends (temporary folder erased immediately).
Audio and video converters (MP3, MP4, WAV, GIF, etc.; files up to 95 MB) the audio or video file and the chosen settings Erased from the server as soon as the result has been sent. Larger files, or if the server cannot take the job, are converted in your browser and never sent.
Text to speech the text to read, the voice and settings Neither kept nor logged; nothing is written to disk.
Video dubbing the translated sentences (the video stays on your device) Same.
Instagram / TikTok downloader the link or profile name you paste. Our computer then contacts Instagram or TikTok to fetch the content. The analysis summary stays in memory for 30 minutes at most; the prepared file is sent to your device and deleted (15 minutes at most if not downloaded). On an error, the link may be written to a technical log kept by the publisher, retained for 30 days at most.
Voice enhancement, "Studio" and "Studio + AI" modes a compressed copy of the voice Deleted after processing; the result is forgotten after you download it (15 minutes at most).
Colorize a photo the photo (re-encoded in your browser: no EXIF or GPS metadata) Kept in memory only while processing; the result is erased after you download it (15 minutes at most).
Photo restoration, "Advanced AI" mode the image (re-encoded, no metadata) Temporary file erased when processing ends; result forgotten after download (15 minutes at most).
Summarize a PDF the text extracted from the PDF (the PDF stays on your device) Deleted after processing.
Viral clips the timed transcript (the video stays on your device) Deleted after processing.
Enhance / slow down a video; Erase an object from a video the video (95 MB max) and your settings Deleted after processing; result forgotten after download (15 minutes at most).
Graphic design maker, Unsplash photo panel the search term and the ID of the photo you insert No database; searches are cached for up to 1 hour. See section 8 for Unsplash.

To limit abuse and avoid overloading the server, your IP address is passed to our computer and used only to count requests (in memory, for 10 minutes to 1 hour depending on the tool). The conversion, voice and AI services do not write it to a log.

None of these files is used to train an AI, sold or shared.

You are responsible for not sending content you have no right to use (see the Terms of Use).

5. Anonymous usage measurement

To know which tools are used and which ones fail, the online version of the site sends small events to our Cloudflare Worker. They are counted per hour; no individual event is kept.

Data collected:

  • the page or tool viewed, and the language;
  • the site you came from, reduced to a name (for example "google", or the bare domain, never the full path);
  • the country (inferred by Cloudflare), the device type (mobile, tablet, desktop), the browser family and the operating system (for example "chrome" and "windows");
  • when you pick a file: its extension (for example "jpg") and a size range (under 100 KB, 1 MB, 10 MB, 100 MB, more); never its name or content;
  • the outcome (success or a short error code) and how long processing took;
  • page display time and page weight, and the name and weight of downloaded models.

Data we do not collect in this process: IP address (not stored), identifier, cookie, file name, file content, full User-Agent.

Purposes: measure traffic, spot failures, improve the tools and site speed. Legal basis: legitimate interest (GDPR Art. 6(1)(f)) in improving a free service with aggregated statistics that identify nobody. Retention: the hourly detail is deleted from the Cloudflare D1 database after 90 days, and the "live" view after 3 hours. The publisher keeps an aggregated copy on his own computer with no time limit, as this data is aggregated and anonymous. Objection: you can object to this measurement by writing to contact@tonyskill.com. Search-engine robots are not counted.

A temporary marker (the time of the last event) is kept in your tab's session storage to count active tabs; it is never sent and disappears when you close the tab.

6. "Something wrong with this tool?" feedback

If you use this form, we record:

  • the reason you pick from a list;
  • your optional comment (300 characters at most);
  • the page, language, time (to the minute), country, device, browser, system, the extension and size range of the current file, and the last error code displayed.

Links, e-mail addresses and strings of six or more digits are masked automatically before sending. The form asks for no name or e-mail and gives us no way to reply to you. Do not write personal information in it: the filter does not recognise everything.

To prevent abuse, a limit of 5 feedback messages per day and per visitor is applied using a fingerprint (SHA-256) of your IP address combined with a random daily salt. The IP address itself is not stored; the salt and the counters are erased the next day, so two days cannot be linked.

Purpose: fix the reported problems. Legal basis: legitimate interest, and your voluntary decision to send the message. Retention: 90 days in the Cloudflare D1 database. The publisher keeps the follow-up on his computer until the problem is resolved, and for 12 months at most.

Being told when a tool is back

When a tool is being improved, its page offers to leave your email address. It is the only personal data we ask for, and only if you give it. We keep the address, the tool, the language, the country (derived from the connection) and the date, in our database at Cloudflare. It is used only to email you once, when that tool is available again, then it is deleted; it is never sold or used for anything else. To have it deleted sooner, write to us (Contact page).

7. Cookies and local storage

TonySkill sets no advertising, analytics or tracking cookie. The only cookie is functional: when you switch language, a NEXT_LOCALE cookie remembers your choice until you close your browser (checked on the live site on 23 October 2026).

The site uses your browser's local storage (localStorage, sessionStorage, IndexedDB, cache), which stays on your device and is never sent to our servers, to:

  • remember your light/dark theme, recent tools and favorites;
  • save your drafts (text editor, spreadsheet, designs, video edit) so you do not lose your work;
  • remember your settings (watermark, brand colors, PDF signature or initials if you ask to keep them);
  • keep downloaded AI models so they are not downloaded again;
  • limit the number of feedback messages sent (3 per 24 hours);
  • pass subtitles from one tool to another.

These items are needed for the service you request or for your settings. You can clear them at any time in your browser settings ("site data").

8. Service providers and third parties

  • Cloudflare (site hosting, content delivery network, secure tunnel to our computer, D1 database for statistics and feedback). Cloudflare technically sees requests (including the IP address) like any host. Information: cloudflare.com/privacypolicy. Cloudflare describes the safeguards it applies to international transfers in that policy.
  • Unsplash (photos in the design maker). Our server queries the Unsplash API with your search term; your browser then loads thumbnails directly from Unsplash servers, which receive your IP address as with any web image. See unsplash.com/privacy.
  • Instagram and TikTok: the downloader contacts their servers from our computer, not from your browser, using the link you provided.
  • YouTube (video demos on some tool pages): nothing is loaded from YouTube when the page opens. Only if you click the demo does your browser load the player from youtube-nocookie.com, and YouTube then receives your IP address and applies its own policy (policies.google.com/privacy). The video is played by YouTube, not by tonyskill.com.
  • OpenStreetMap: some tools offer a "view on map" link; coordinates are passed to OpenStreetMap only if you click it.
  • The site uses no third-party analytics (no Google Analytics) and loads no font or library hosted elsewhere: everything is served by tonyskill.com.

We do not sell any data.

9. Technical logs

The servers that run the site (Cloudflare, our computer) may write technical error logs. On our computer they may contain an error message and, for the downloader, the link involved. They are used only for troubleshooting and security. Retention: 30 days at most.

10. Your rights

Depending on the law that applies to you (notably the GDPR in the European Union and the United Kingdom), you have the right to access your data, have it corrected or erased, restrict its processing, object to it, and request portability.

Our statistics are aggregated and cannot identify you, so we will probably be unable to find "your" data. For a feedback message you sent, tell us its approximate date, the tool and its content.

To exercise your rights, write to contact@tonyskill.com. We reply within one month. You may also lodge a complaint with the data protection authority of your country (in France: the CNIL, cnil.fr).

11. Transfers outside your country

Cloudflare is a US company operating a worldwide network; pages are served from a data center close to you. Data sent to the tools listed in section 4 is processed on a computer operated by the publisher, only for the time needed to return the result.

12. Security

Transfers use HTTPS. The tunnel to our computer accepts only requests coming from the site (shared secret) and only certain paths. Temporary files are deleted as described in section 4. No system is infallible, so do not process extremely sensitive information with the tools in section 4; prefer the tools in section 3, which never leave your device.

13. Children

The site is not directed at children under 13 and does not knowingly collect data about them.

14. Changes

We may update this policy, for example if we add a tool that sends data to the server or enable advertising. The date at the top shows the latest version.
