Dub a video
Transcription, translation and a synthetic voice to dub a video (up to 5 minutes) into French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese or Dutch. You review the sentences before the MP4 is made, SRT subtitles included.
Accepted: MP4, MOV, M4V, WEBM, MKV · Max 476.8 MB per file
Transcription and translation happen on your device, but the translated text is sent to our server to produce the voice (the video itself never leaves your device).
How to dub a video into another language
Drop your video (5 minutes and 500 MB at most), choose the original language (or automatic detection), the dubbing language and a voice.
Tap "Dub the video": the speech is transcribed, translated, then read by the voice. Review and fix the translated sentences.
Tap "Make the dubbed video", then download the MP4 and, if you like, the translated subtitles (SRT).
How dubbing works
- Four steps, one click
- Speech is transcribed, translated, read by a synthetic voice, then laid over the video: you follow each step with its progress.
- You review before it is made
- The table of translated sentences appears before assembly: fix a word and only the changed sentences are read again.
- Natural voices
- Pick the voice in the dubbing language and listen to a sample. A sentence that is too long is sped up a little to fit its time.
- The video never leaves your device
- Transcription, translation and assembly run in your browser; only the translated text is sent to our server to make the voice.

Frequently asked questions
How do I dub a video into another language?
Drop the video, choose the target language and a voice, then tap "Dub the video". Speech is transcribed by Whisper, translated, then read by a synthetic voice; you review the sentences before the MP4 is assembled.
Does the original voice disappear?
No. We do not separate voices from the rest of the sound (separation models come with licences we prefer to avoid). Dubbing is therefore a "voice-over": by default the original sound stays in the background at 15%, and you can mute it by unticking the option.
Are the lips synchronised?
No, there is no lip sync. Each sentence starts when it starts in the video; if the voice is longer than the room available it is sped up by up to 35%, then faded out. Review and shorten the sentence if needed.
Is my video sent to a server?
No. Transcription, translation and assembly happen on your device and the video does not leave it. Only the translated text is sent to our server to make the voice, then erased.
What are the limits?
Up to 5 minutes and 500 MB, in seven languages (French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese, Dutch). Models are downloaded on first use (about 200 MB). Dubbing remains automatic: review the translation, especially proper names and technical vocabulary.
