How to translate an SRT file
Drop your .srt file above (any encoding, even old Windows files).
Check the detected language, choose the target language, then click Translate.
Review the result next to the original and download the translated SRT.
How it works
- Nothing leaves your device
- The Opus-MT translation models run in your browser. They are downloaded once from our server, then kept in cache.
- Timings untouched
- Sentences spread over several subtitles are translated as a whole, then split back over the same subtitles: the sync with the video does not move.
- Side-by-side review
- Each translated subtitle sits next to the original and can be edited. Italics, top positions, dialogue dashes and song lyrics are kept.
- 7 languages
- French, English, Spanish, German, Italian, Portuguese and Dutch, in every direction. Bilingual subtitles show the original under the translation.
